This little thing drives me crazy.
There once was a time when I could order ice cream in a sugar cone and that’s what I’d get. Now I order it anywhere in the Upper Valley and I get a paper cone wrapper thrown in for free.
I hate these things. They’re glued on and I can never get all the paper off. And then there’s the glue stuck to the cone, too. What’s that stuff made of? I either eat paper and glue or ditch the last best part of the cone — the super-mini cone everyone loves to pop in their mouth for that last sweet little crunch.
Is it just me, or does the paper wrapper bother you, too? Weigh in with your comments. Anybody know of any ice cream stands that DON’T serve up a cone with paper and glue? If so, let me know and I’ll get there and write a story about that heavenly place!
