Bayada Hospice has a special purpose-to provide the highest quality end-of-life care so their patients can remain at home with comfort, grace, and dignity. They believe people with advanced illness and their families deserve hospice care services delivered with compassion, excellence, and reliability. These are the core values of their philosophy, The Bayada Way.
This story is about Bayada and a recent award given to it's Medical Director.
I have recently written two other stories on Bayada but both were relative to a yard sale held to raise donations to fight Alzheimers disease. (a very worthy cause, I might add).
Hospice focuses on a holistic team approach to providing care to patients and their families. In addition to expert medical care and symptom and pain management , hospice services include social, emotional, and spiritual support to patients, families, and others who need support through the end of life process.
The Bayada Hospice team includes specialists from different fields who assess the patient's needs and goals. Together with the patient, family, , and physician, they develop an individualized plan of care to ensure that their hospice services are exactly what each patient needs and wants.
