This course is the second in series by the Geisel Health Alliance* to learn about and discuss treatment options on a single disease topic in a 2-hour class.
During this session on Coronary Artery Disease (CAD), the third-year medical students will discuss the background of the disease, a basic science overview, potential treatments, and takeaway questions to ask healthcare providers. After leaving the class, they hope participants will have a stronger understanding of the medical condition of CAD and confidence in talking with their doctors.
*The Geisel Health Alliance is a teaching organization run entirely by Dartmouth medical students. Their mission is to educate the community about the science behind common diseases and disorders. They hope to improve healthcare literacy, educate patients and answer questions about medical conditions.
