Sustainable Woodstock will be planting 15 trees at the East End Park for Earth Day, Sunday April 22, and we need your help! We will be planting small sapling maples, willows, sycamores, and paw paw trees from 12-3pm. We want to take this opportunity to celebrate the earth by adding a couple trees that will have multiple benefits to our environment and planet! Trees help protect our river banks from erosion and prevent damage from major storms. They help filter and clean our water, provide habitats for wild life, and sequester CO2. One of the best things we can do to help our environment is to plant more trees! Join us for a fun community building event, that allows for you to do something meaningful while putting your hands in the dirt after a long winter! Let us know if you would like to help.
