Continuing drop in discussion of the book The Lost Art of Good Conversation by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche
In our first series of gatherings to read and discuss this book, we worked with a sense of why conversation is so powerful and how conversation, rooted in feeling, gives our inspiration a channel to express itself. We contemplated and investigated how to connect with people genuinely and how it can be so easy to be swayed by negative emotions. Facilitated once again by Ms. Patti Morgan, we now return to investigate being mindful and being kind, to ourselves and to others, embracing our humanness and the willingness to change our world one conversation at a time.
Beginning on Tuesday, May 15, the class will meet at 6:45 until 8 PM to continue to learn together. This is a drop in class, you can come and go as you wish. A donation is requested when you attend. You may also volunteer to bring snack to serve the group before hand, and you will be reimbursed for that.
In this eight week series, some of the sessions will include an online video by the author, our lineage holder Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche talking about his inspiration and motivation for writing this book.
