Lebanon Paint & Decorating has become the first 2018 sponsor of COVER’s Ramps & Roofs Campaign. Tom Evans and Shawn Hickey, Co-owners of the store wanted “to support the mission of COVER and demonstrate the local business are committed to the community.”
COVER Home Repair, a non-profit organization based in White River Junction organizes over 250 volunteers per year to perform urgent home repairs for low income homeowners undergoing an urgent repair crisis. COVER averages about 15-20 roof replacements and 15-20 accessibility ramp installations per year.
These projects are designed to help build community connections between the homeowners and the volunteers and to foster a little more hope along the way. COVER often works with homeowners who are elderly, facing serious mobility challenges, and cannot afford an accessibility ramp or who are living in a mobile home with a roof that leaks like a sieve.
Last year over 20 local businesses, religious and civic organizations, as well as schools and towns became sponsors of the material cost of a ramp or roof. For more information, contact Bill Neukomm at firstname.lastname@example.org.
