Take it from me folks, this is something Upper Valley residents don't want to miss! The movie was filmed entirely in the Windsor, Vermont area last Fall using many local residents as actors. Yes, I appear in the movie and it was a blast!! The film script was written by Windsor native Donald Miller based on a true life experience. It revolves around the harmful effects of "bullying" by high school aged students. Welling Films out of Houston, Texas was on hand to produce this beautifully film using the Autumn splendor of Vermont. The aerial views are simply jaw dropping!!
Welling Films was founded by Shawn Welling, a choreographer-turned-photographer-turned filmmaker. Welling Films is the recipient of over 50 Film Festival Awards including the World of Dane Industry Award, presented in Hollywood at the historic Avalon Theatre. In 2014 Welling Films acquired a relationship with Hollywood actor Lee Majors after filming the "Legend of Dark Horse County". Since then Mr Majors has appeared in a narrated several Welling Films. Recipient of the 2015 World Dance Industry Award For The Best Filmmaker.
If I Could Run will have its World Premiere in front of directors, producers, movie studios, TV film studios, actors, actresses and the general public at the 2018 Worldfest on April 20 to April 27 in Houston, Texas.
The Upper Valley Mirror is urging film lovers to make this event and enjoy a true work of art filmed right in our backyard!
