Hey Upper Valley! The Clovis Program for youth from ROOTS school.A day long youth program that meets once a week for this coming spring semester in Corinth.
The Clovis Program is focused on the ancient human lineage of hunter-gatherer cultures and the lessons they have to teach us. Each week the students will be guided to further their education of naturalist studies, traditional skills, and wilderness self-reliance. Each semester will have three to five themes that will inform the curriculum, allowing us to go deeper into the subject and ensuring the students engage with the information and skills in a variety of ways.
This program takes place at our home base in Corinth on Wednesdays. There are two, 12 session, semesters; one spring and one fall which can be taken together or separately. The program is for students 6-13 in Corinth.
Roots School has been teaching kids and adults for over nine years. We promote a learning environment that is educational, challenging, fun, and safe. We are motivated by having witnessed how in learning these skills, students get an opportunity to cultivate personal strength, compassion for the greater world, and understanding of oneself through positive interactions with the natural world.
