Stay informed about the dangers of underage drinking, and find opportunities to discuss the dangers of alcohol with a young person you know. Studies show that a person who starts drinking before age 15 is four to six times more likely to develop alcoholism than someone who delays drinking until age 21.
Research indicates alcohol use during the teen years interferes with normal brain development and underage drinking contributes to a range of consequences including; injuries, sexual assaults, and even death. Learn more here: underage drinking.
