Lucky’s Coffee Garage is open for business at the former and refurbished Roy’s Auto Service site, facing Colburn Park in Lebanon NH.
Cortado (right): a beverage consisting of espresso mixed with a roughly equal amount of warm milk
For owner Deb Shinnlinger, Lucky's has been a labor of love, and one eagerly awaited by Upper Valley residents who can never get enough coffee. The space has been transformed, filled with bright colors, tables and chairs, and the essential espresso machine. The decor pays homage to the building’s historic roots with automotive memorabilia and an on-the-road mural. The sought-after seats are sure to be the ones that line the counter and look out through windows that frame downtown Lebanon.
While there are plans to expand the hours and the menu, for now you can get coffees, teas, foamy cappuccinos and other espresso beverages and house-made baked goods from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. On this particular afternoon, bowls of potato corn chowder with bacon were making their way from kitchen to table. Some gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options are available.
