Junction of Routes 4, 5, and 14 has had several crashes this year alone
WHITE RIVER JUNCTION - At least one vehicle was totaled but both drivers were able to walk away from a T-bone crash which took place shortly after noon Wednesday in the intersection at the base of Schoolhouse Hill.
"Both lights were green at the time but the driver of the Jeep, which was turning left off the Urban Bridge onto Maple Street, is at fault for failing to yield (to a small blue car coming down the hill headed for the bridge)," Hartford Police Officer Aleya Catalfamo explained, adding "Through traffic always has the right-of-way."
The impact wrecked the small blue car and knocked loose one of the front wheels of the black Jeep.
Both drivers, who are local but whose names were not immediately released, were checked over at the scene by a Hartford Ambulance crew before going on their way.
Police said the woman driving the black Jeep failed to yield to an on-coming car when she turned left onto Maple Street
