You can’t miss it … the WILLING HANDS truck driving around the
Upper Valley 358 days a year doing pickups and deliveries of fresh wholesome
produce for our neighbors in need.
This year we are on track to deliver about 500,000 pounds. It takes a
community to make this happen!

SPECIAL thanks to the loyal volunteers who gleaned over
63,000 pounds of lettuce, peas, strawberries, green beans, zucchini, yellow squash,
cucumbers, corn, leeks, kale, chard, cabbage, carrots, broccoli, tomatoes,
cauliflower,  potatoes, butternut,
buttercup and acorn squash, apples, pears, raspberries AND 1600 POUNDS of

A SHOUTOUT to the local farms that welcomed gleaners and each
donated at least 2500 pounds of produce this season: Blue Ox Farm, Cedar Circle Farm, Crossroad Farm, Edgewater Farm, Kildeer
Farm, Riverview Farm, Root 5 Farm, Sunrise Farm, Maplewood Orchard and Whitman
Brook Orchard

KUDOS to the garden volunteers who
planted, maintained and harvested the Willing Hands organic garden at Cedar
Circle Farm.  This year over 1000
hours of volunteer labor produced 16,085 pounds of fresh organic produce to be
delivered to our needy neighbors.

And MANY MANY thanks to the Coop
Food Stores, Upper Valley Produce, King Arthur Flour, McNamara Dairy, Pete
& Gerry’s Eggs and other local grocers and bakers who donate year round to
Willing Hands .... they are incredibly generous.

GO?  Willing Hands delivers fresh
produce to The Haven 6 times a week. This amounts to over 110,000
pounds a year to The Haven alone. In addition,
55 + other service organizations and food shelves in the Upper Valley from
Bradford, VT to Claremont, NH receive deliveries every week.  THIS WEEK there will be special
deliveries of over 1900 pounds to Sacred Heart Church in Lebanon for their
Thanksgiving meal and 985 pounds to Praise Chapel for Thanksgiving Baskets.

As Thanksgiving approaches, it is
nice to recognize the spirit of generosity right here in our own community
every day!  At Willing Hands
we strive for an Upper Valley where everyone has affordable access to the foods
that make up a healthy diet.
