An extraordinary evening is in its last lap of preparation. This coming Saturday night the 4th of November, Stonecutter Spirits, in conjunction with Wild Roots, will be hosting an ‘Adventure Dinner’ at a secret location in Vermont, whose exact whereabouts will be texted 24 hours before the event. Stonecutter is a craft distillery based in Middlebury and Royalton’s Wild Roots is well known and loved by locals. A visit to the website will tell you that these are ‘speakeasy-style gatherings in unexpected places’-promoting the delicious local bounty. Click here.
Saturday’s menu will include buried earth-cooked pigs from Longest Acre Farm and Stonecutter’s unique smoked cocktails, featuring their barrel-aged gin and whiskey to accompany each course. Shacksbury’s artisanal cider will also work its magic and chef Peter Varkonyi will take leave of his Wild Roots perch to create and cook instead for this barn feast in hidden pastures. Some of the other participants are Vermont Creamery, Runamok Maple, Two Potters and Abracadabra Coffee and there will also be a vegetarian option available upon request.
With a few tickets remaining, this event will go forward rain or shine and a visit to the website will give you the mysteriously enticing details and other contributors. A portion of the event’s price will go toward helping to rebuild in Puerto Rico. Click here to reserve and find out more! It all begins at 4 pm.
