Come help us celebrate the life and work of Pete Seeger! Pete was born on May 3rd, 1919. We will be celebrating his 100th birthday on Friday, May 3rd in Hanover! This concert will feature Annie Patterson & Peter Blood (creators of the songbooks "Rise Up Singing" and "Rise Again") and with three other beloved folksinger/activists Charlie King and Magpie (Greg Artzner & Terri Leonino) - all of whom worked closely with Pete during his life. This concert will celebrate all the many groups in the region working for the things Pete and Toshi believed in and worked for. If your social justice group would like to table during the intermission, please contact Fran Brokaw for information. We will sing out of "If I Had a Hammer," a new collection of songs that Pete wrote or was great at performing and leading. Copies available to borrow or buy at the concert. Buy advance tickets at link above! Tickets also will be available at the door. No one turned away for lack of funds.
