After over a decade in intensive contemplative practice, Soryu became the founding director of the Center for Mindful Learning in 2011. Since then, he has brought mindfulness teachings to tens of thousands of people through pioneering programs such as Modern Mindfulness for Schools, Mind the Music, and the Monastic Academy. He writes, “The great problems of the world today are created by human behaviors. These behaviors are caused by our minds. If we wish to save the world, we dedicate ourselves to the quest for insight into the nature of our minds.“ This second session of CTP’s “Tend the Root” Talk Series has been brought to you by the Center for Transformational Practice. This Series is nine-part investigation of the intersection between personal & social transformation. Tea & Cookies Provided. Donations encouraged. Details at ctpvt.org.
