For over 42 years, Bentleys restaurant has served locals and visitors in the heart of downtown Woodstock, VT. The restaurant sits prominently on the corner of Elm Street and Route 4. It's considered a landmark restaurant in the town. After the many years of service, it's understandable that many were shocked and saddened by the recent announcement that Bentleys will be closing its doors for good next month.
The restaurant was purchased by current co-owners, John Ruggieri-Lam and Maria L. Freddura back in 2013 after the previous owners filed for bankruptcy. They were able to continue the Bentleys legacy for the past 6 years. Bentley's tentative closing date is currently April 21st. While they have no plans to reopen at another location, the owners would happily consider reopening if the right opportunity presented itself.
