Drug impairment suspected after Claremont man crashes on interstate in Vermont

WESTMINSTER - A Claremont, New Hampshire man has been charged with driving under the influence of drugs in the wake of a crash that occurred mid-morning Monday on Interstate 91 northbound in the town of Westminster, Vermont.

    Corbin Kane, 44, allegedly showed signs of impairment at the scene and was arrested after he was put through a series of field sobriety exercises.

    Kane was taken to the Westminster State Police Barracks where he underwent further screening by a trooper who is certified as a drug recognition expert.

    Kane was eventually released with a criminal citation ordering him to appear in court on April 23rd in Brattleboro to answer the charge.

    Anyone who witnessed the crash, which took place at Mile Marker 28, is asked to contact Sgt. Martin at the Westminster Barracks at (802) 722-4600.
