The Norwich police cadets recently visited Washington, D.C. and learned many new things from the places they visited and the agencies that they interacted with. Norwich Police Cadet's 2019 Washington DC trip
The Cadets completed an experimental, educational trip to Washington D.C. where they walked more than 26 miles and climbed more than 150 flights of stairs as they completed / participated in the following activities:
* World War 2 Memorial
* Vietnam Memorial
* Korean Conflict Memorial
* Lincoln Memorial
* Private tour of the U.S. Capitol arranged by Senator Leahy's office
* 3 hour private tour of the Pentagon with Corporal Gonzalez
* Visited the U. S. Navy museum
* Law Enforcement Memorial
* White House Tour - East Wing
* FBI Headquarters and indoor range tour
* Law Enforcement Museum
Participated in a Meet & Greet, Question & Answer opportunity with the following law enforcement agencies:
U.S. Capitol Police Patrol division
Metropolitan Police Patrol division
Metropolitan Police Motorcycle unit
U.S. Capitol Police K9 division
Metro Transit Police Patrol division
Metro Transit Police K9 explosives division
Federal Protection Police
Federal Bureau of Investigation Police
Secret Service K9 division
