Lebanon Police Seek Help Identifying Suspect in Multiple Hannaford Theft Investigation

The Lebanon Police Department is asking the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a shoplifting investigation.  According to a release from the LPD, on January 21 and February 4, 2019, the male in the accompanying images was discovered on surveillance video allegedly shoplifting various merchandise from Hannaford Supermarket in West Lebanon. The suspect is seen allegedly placing items in a basket, then “acting as though he is scanning items through the self-check-out, but leaves the store without paying for the items,” said Lebanon Police Chief Richard Mello, who added that “Loss Prevention has identified the suspect as [allegedly] committing the same act at several other Hannaford locations.”

According to the LPD, he has been seen leaving the parking lot in an older style black Ford Escape with Vermont registrations.

The Police Department is asking anyone who may have information about the identity of this subject to call Lebanon Police Officer Eric Hunter or Officer Bart Kapuscinski at 603-448-1212. Information can also be submitted anonymously to the Tip Line, 603-448-CLUE, or online at LebanonNH.gov/CLUE.
