Trip Anderson has stepped down from his position as Executive Director at AVA Gallery in Lebanon NH, after a little more than two years on the job. His departure was announced last week.
Anderson replaced long-time Executive Director Bente Torjusen in November, 2016. In addition to expanding AVA’s own footprint, Anderson had been active in working with other Upper Valley arts organizations and in developing and promoting arts in the city of Lebanon.
Anderson has confirmed that his separation from AVA is “amiable,” and in an email said, “I’m looking forward to my next chapter, ideally concentrated on philanthropic fund-raising and grant-writing with a special interest in educational accessibility and environmental sustainability.” He has re-launched his independent consulting venture, Innoventive Design Associates (IDA), that “provides fund-raising, grant writing and visual communication support services for non-profits focused on the Upper Valley of VT & NH.”
Anderson says he plans “to continue to concentrate my efforts on creative community-building within the Upper Valley.”
As for AVA Gallery, it is expected that an interim director will be appointed and that a full search for a new executive director will follow.
