Yes they are hiring , A notice of Anticipated Job Opening for  the Norwich Police Department - Full-time Sergeant has been posted on the Norwich Police Department Facebook page. 


Due to an internal promotion, the Norwich Police Department Sergeant’s position will be vacant as of April 13, 2019. As such, the Town is accepting applications now to fill the anticipated vacancy. They are seeking an energetic, positive professional with a strong desire to provide quality police services to a community on the move.

Applicants must have a high school degree (2-year college 60 credits in pertinent field preferred). Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license is required. The applicant shall be a fully certified police officer in the State of Vermont with Certification by the Vermont Criminal Justice Training Council.

The applicant shall have a minimum of three (3) years of police experience supported by substantial training. The applicant must be at least 21 years of age; possess exceptional moral character and strong work ethics. A complete job description can be provided upon request. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
