Yin yoga is gentle but not easy. Students hold poses for 3-5 minutes, and props are used to invite release as we breath into the areas of tightness and tension. Yin targets the parasympathetic nervous system, and yin tissues, ie, the joints, ligaments and fascia. These tissues (and a yin practice) support the bones and muscles to enhance health and well being. All abilities are welcome and no experience is required. Sign up on the website to reserve a space. UVY offers a free yoga class once a month.
