Worth Knowing: Flooding in Hartford Leads to Road Closures on 1/24

The Hartford Emergency Communications Center released the following statement on Facebook shortly after 5pm on Thursday evening.

"River Road in Hartford is currently closed due to flooding in the roadway. The Hartford Highway Department advised that the river is very high near Quechee Main St / Marshland Farms and they may close the roadway if water rises further. Plan accordingly, and do not drive on flooded roadways. Updates to follow."

Please be cautious when driving around the Upper Valley. The high levels of snow, combined with heavy rain, can lead to flooding scenarios. There is also bound to be icy road conditions as temperatures drop back down over the weekend. Slow down and be alert!
