After a two and one-half year closure for rebuilding and renovation, the Hood Museum of Art at Dartmouth College in Hanover NH will be reopening on January 26.
There are spacious galleries, old and new art, and plenty of wow factor. Just go. What better way to start 2019?
My preview of the new and improved Hood has just been published in Vermont Art Guide, a print quarterly arts magazine. Unfortunately, it is not available online, although you can order a single copy of the current issue, or purchase a yearly subscription, by clicking here. (Aside from my author’s compensation, I have no financial interest in the magazine.) If you love art and Vermont, it is among the best sources for discovering local artists, galleries and exhibitions throughout the state. When people ask me, “how do you find the art you write about?”, Vermont Art Guide is a big part of the answer.
It’s Vermont. Love the chicken perched on this sculpture by Jackson Tupper
