The college has planned global service projects, community festivals and more!
Throughout 2019 Dartmouth College will celebrate the 250th anniversary of its founding through celebrations, academic and arts programming and an "unprecedented service opportunity for the entire global community." The theme for the year is "Honoring Our Past, Inspiring Our Future" and the celebration events begin this month.
“This is an ideal time to reaffirm our liberal arts foundation, our tradition of world-changing research, our profound sense of place, and the unique Dartmouth spirit,” says President Philip J. Hanlon ’77. “As we reflect on our history of impact and influence, we will also look ahead to a bright future creating new generations of leaders.”
On January 10th, a day of celebrations will take place throughout campus as part of the official kickoff. The 250th website will be updated regularly and will provide details on all of the events that will take place over the course of the year. Community members are encouraged to participate and to help make a impact around the world with these events and service initiatives.
