The parking lot at the Mascoma Bank on Maple Street was full of police cars after a reported robbery this afternoon. The robbery led to a temporary lockdown at schools nearby. More details to follow soon.

UPDATE 1/7/19: Bank officials released a photo of the suspect - a dark-haired man with a bright orange scarf wrapped around his face. He is suspected of armed robbery and believed to be acting alone. Bank officials stated that he left with "an undetermined amount of cash." The suspected robber is still at large and police from Hartford, Lebanon, Norwich and Thetford are assisting in the search.
UPDATE 1/8/19: The suspect, 28 year old Stephen Lynch, was apprehended by Massachusetts State Police on Monday evening. He was driving South on I-91 with 22-year old Katelyn Grizzaffi, of Lebanon, NH, when he was pulled over by Massachusetts State Police. Lynch was lodged late Monday night on the charge of receiving stolen property. Other charges and arrests are pending and the investigation will continue.
