Join us for a talk by artist Michael St.Germain in conjunction with his exhibition "as is" on view at AVA through February 1.
"[My] work exhibits
a quirky, understated and deadpan matter-of-factness that belies an obsessive,
intuitive and museum-informed approach to making art. [My] art embodies a
reductive and elemental presence un-beholden to narrative and logic."
St.Germain graduated from the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston with a bachelor’s in fine art. He’s had solo exhibitions at Field, Gallery, MA; Atlantic Works Gallery, MA; Gallery at Spencer Lofts, MA; Newton Free Public Library, MA; and now at AVA Gallery and Art Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire. St.Germain’s work has been in numerous national and international group exhibitions.
