For the second year in a row, the Upper Valley Board of
Realtors presented a check to sponsor COVER’s Ramps & Roofs Fund. COVER organizes over 250 volunteers per year
to perform urgent home repairs for elderly homeowners; homeowners who use a
walker or wheel chair; or homeowners who cannot always afford the urgent
repair. COVER typically completes 15-20 ramps and 15-20 roofs per year.
During the winter months, COVER volunteers can weatherize your home against cold air drafts. Both the urgent home repair and weatherization services are free of charge, although the homeowners are asked to contribute a portion of the material costs and to participate in the work to the extent they are able.
“We know that the COVER performs a valuable service for the community and we want to support their efforts,” according to Susan Cole of Susan Cole Really Group and President of the UV Board of Realtors.
“Another way to support COVER, is to shop in the COVER Store. They sell donated cabinets, furniture, appliances, tools and many other household items”, according to Scott Wade of S & K Property Inspections and affiliate member of the Upper Valley Board of Realtors.
For the past two years, the Byrne Foundation has been a major supporter of the Ramps & Roofs Fund. For more information contact, Bill@coverhomerepair.org
