18-year-old Claremonter Charged with Speeding on Interstate
Cited for Negligent Operation
On Sunday, December 16, Troopers stopped a 2005 Blue Pontiac G6 for allegedly traveling 102 MPH while passing a vehicle on Interstate 89 southbound near Mile Marker 9. The driver was identified by the Vermont State Police as Michael Coombs, 18, of Claremont, NH; he was charged with Negligent Operation.
According to Trooper Sean Collins of the Royalton Barracks, Coombs was arrested and brought back to the Vermont State Police Royalton Barracks for processing.
Coombs was cited to appear in Vermont Superior Court Windsor Criminal Division on January 29, 2019 at 0800 hours to answer to the charges.
