Claremont teen picks up criminal charge for "high roller" speeding on the interstate in Vermont
ROYALTON - A Claremont, New Hampshire teenager is facing a criminal charge of negligent operation of a vehicle after Vermont State Police said they clocked him on Interstate 89 Sunday passing another vehicle at 102 miles per hour.
Troopers said they observed 18-year-old Micheal Coombs make the unsafe pass in a blue 2005 Pontiac G6 on the southbound side of the highway near Mile Marker 9.
Trooper Sean Collins said that Coombs was stopped, arrested and brought back to the Royalton Barracks for processing where he was released after being cited to answer the charge at the courthouse in White River Junction on January 29th.
