Norwich Resident gets 45 scam calls in one night

This story includes several new happenings at the Norwich Police department since my last Police department post. The first part of this story is an update to the original article that was done for the Town of Norwich by Mark Travis.

That story was called "Resident gets 45 scam calls in one night as fraud attempts spike in Norwich"  here is the link to that story: https://dailyuv.com/970074

One should read the above story first and then continue on to the interviews to get the rest of the story.

I was the resident who received those calls and my story will include two interviews that were done by Channel 5 news reporter Matt Leighton.  He apparently had seen the daily UV story and reached out to the Norwich Police Department.

He first interviewed Sgt Jennifer Frank to get the facts which he did and then asked if I was available to speak to him. I was at the Town Hall  along with other committee members getting things ready for our Norwich Honor Roll monument ceremony that was held at 1:00 Pm on Nov 12, 2018.

The reporter came to the event and waited until the dedication ceremony was over. He then asked if he could interview me . I accepted the interview request.
