Covered Bridge Half Marathon Race Route

Worth Knowing: Covered Bridge Half Marathon Registration for non-profit teams open today!

Submitted 2 months ago

For the first time ever, on Monday, November 12 (TODAY!), registration will open for the non-profit teams of the Covered Bridges Half Marathon (CBHM) in advance of public race registration. This priority shift marks increased unity between participating organizations and the organizing staff of the CBHM, reaffirming the race’s commitment to supporting area non-profits. The race, which winds through beautiful back country roads from Woodstock to Quechee, VT, draws runners from throughout the nation and typically sells out within minutes of opening. In past years, anyone still looking to run could choose to join a team raising support for David’s House, The Family Place, Positive Tracks, The Upper Valley Haven, or WISE. The new early non-profit registration will offer runners an opportunity to immediately secure their spot in the race by committing to raise $500 for one of the five organizations.

“The CBHM represents community at its best. Banding together as nonprofits makes us stronger supporters of our amazing runners, and more successful as organizations with overlapping services. We make a difference together!”

- Kristen Coats, Community Relations Development Coordinator, The Upper Valley Haven

Non-profit runner slots are limited and available on a first come, first serve basis. This year’s race is scheduled for June 2, 2019 with general registration opening on December 3, at 7 pm.
