Hartford Parks & Recreation Department is offering a free clinic to train basketball officials on December 2 from 1 pm to 2 pm at the Dothan Brook School. The clinic is designed to give young or first-time basketball officials the framework for getting started. The clinic provides an official with an overview of the sport, including pregame and post game expectations, basic signaling, and penalty enforcement and application. Officials are introduced to positioning expectations during the contest. Participants are encouraged to address his/her questions or concerns about getting started in as an official.  Pre-registration is required at Basketball Officials Clinic registration.
