Worth Knowing: It is not too early to start thinking about singing or performing with a holiday choir . . .
I know, it's not even Thanksgiving yet. But it's time to think about how good you will feel if you participate in holiday musical performance at an Upper Valley church or non-church organization. Here's a request for interested people to step forward from the Lyme Congregational Church:
Hello Friends and Music Lovers: This is really going to be fun! Lyme Congregational Church welcomes you to join us for our musical Christmas Eve service at 5pm. If you sing or play an instrument, we are hoping that you will consider singing with the choir or playing with the small chamber orchestra for two Messiah pieces during the service. The Christmas Community Choir will sing And the Glory of the Lord and the Hallelujah Chorus, by Handel. Hallelujah Chorus will be a sing-along. All ages are welcome!
Please contact Alison Cheroff, Music Director, if you'd like to join in: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Rehearsals at the Lyme Congregational Church: Thursday, December 20th: 6:30-8 (Instruments will join at 7:30 and may need to stay a bit later); Sunday, December 23rd: 12:15-1:30; Christmas Eve, December 24th: 4pm sharp for 5pm service. If possible, please come 15 minutes early so that you can chat and be ready to sing right on time.
Let's raise our spirits together and make a joyful sound!
