Worth Knowing: Celebrate All Saints Day in Woodstock with evening choral performance - November 1

St. James Church is presenting All Saints Day Choral Evensong on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. This concert is to commemorate All Saints Day and is a festival to celebrate all known and unknown saints.  Musical selections include the “Magnificat” and “Nuncdimittis” — settings by English composer John Stainer (1840-1901).  The“Preces and Responses” is a choral setting by Thomas Tallis (1505-1585), and the choir’s anthem “And I Saw another Angel” was composed by Sir Charles Villiers Stanford (1852-1924).

The public is warmly invited to this free concert.  Light refreshments in the Parish Hall will follow the concert.
