As we try to live our ethic of living gently, I find that sometimes parting with some favorite pieces is easier said than done. This desk and chair has seen many generations of schoolchildren, then 3 generations in my family.
In the 1950's when these were being tossed out by our schools in CT, my grandmother couldn't bear it, and repurposed some for her grandchildren, aka me.
Lovingly kept, it includes the ink cup. Schoolmaster would bring just enough for you to do your work so it didn't dry out.
And to confirm it's "schoolboyish" authenticity...check out the carved words: "Bathchlers Club". Did the Schoolmaster rap his knuckles for the carving or for the poor spelling? Hmmmm.....
Seat height is adjustable for your generation of young scholars.
