Upper Valley Curling will hold a Learn to Curl Clinic at the Barwood Arena in White River Junction on Saturday, November 17thfrom 5:45 to 8:00 pm. During the Winter Olympics earlier this year many people watched the fast growing sport of curling. While it is easy to understand curling, to truly appreciate the game you have to experience it.
The club will provide that experience through instruction and practice. Experienced curlers will answer questions and demonstrate how to play, and will give students the chance to practice on the ice. Students need to wear cold weather gear, including hats and gloves, and bring shoes with non-skid soles. The club provides all equipment. Cost is $25 per person. Registration is required and classes fill up quickly, so sign up at https://uppervalleycurling.org.
