Audience sing-along with local performers

I was hoping to get to the Beaver Meadow Chapel last Sunday, however another commitment kept me away. I did ask if someone could take some photos of the event I would do a short story.  Special thanks to Chad Finer for supplying me with these photos. It looks as though I would have a hard time finding a parking space as the parking garage was full and people started parking on the street.  All kidding aside, I think I missed a nice event.  Here are the facts about the event and a video for your listening pleasure.

Event: Audience sing-along featuring local performers and traditional inspirational songs

Place: Beaver Meadow Chapel on Beaver Meadow Road
Musicians/Performers: Jayn and Bruce Keller, Cam Cross, Tii Mclane and Eric Von Ammon.
Music: Traditional inspirational songs with a brief introduction to the author and history of the piece
Date: October 21st, 3pm -  was open to the public
Organized by: Beaver Meadow Chapel Association
To Benefit: Renovations and Repairs at the Beaver Meadow One-Room Schoolhouse
Interesting Fact: Both the chapel and schoolhouse are on the National Registry for Historic Places (see Wikipedia or Norwich Historical Society website for schoolhouse info). Click below to view more

Reception After the Event: there was a reception at the Chapel following the event with a variety of desserts and refreshments

As you can see from the pictures, the event was quite successful and fairly well attended, pretty much filling the Chapel.

And the band played on

They look like they know the words even

Nice little Chapel

The crowd is facing the music

Looks like a good turnout

This photo was taken with a view from another pew

Looks like they are really having a grand ole time of it

They are keeping up the pace and are in sync

Taking it all in

A nice side view shot by Chad Finer
