As the song goes....Where have all the flowers gone?
"Preparing for Jack Frost"
As I was driving down Main Street this morning around 9:00 AM, I saw the yellow jackets buzzing around the Norwich Women's Club Flower bed (Garden Triangle). The first thing that came to mind was Pete Seeger's song. The second thing that I thought of was the yellow jackets were buzzing around without their yellow vests.
And this is how it all began: A new group of Yellow Jackets have invaded Norwich
My stories are meant to be lighthearted and joking aside, the message should be clear that the amount of hard work that goes into the preparation of these gardens is amazing. Norwich is very fortunate to have the Women's Club volunteers. They do so much for our town.
Today's swarm of "Bees" included Mary Ann Holbrook, Dana Ireland, and Carol Loveland.
Now you go home and get your yellow vests
Too busy working to even notice a photographer was nearby
Hey, I've got my yellow vest , Where are yours?
Where is our backup?
Almost done, just a few more to go
Oh Yuk, I can't wait until spring
