Shooting Incident and Arrest in Chesterfield
Charges Include Attempted 2nd Degree Murder
On Friday October 19, at approximately 0717 hours, troopers from the New Hampshire State Police – Troop C and officers from the Chesterfield Police Department, Hinsdale Police Department, and Cheshire County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of shots fired on Zinn Road in Chesterfield. Once on scene, it was determined that multiple shots had been fired at two different locations on Zinn Road following an encounter between two area residents, said the NHSP in a statement released Friday afternoon. All of the involved parties were quickly identified and no one was injured as a result of the shooting, said the NHSP.
According to the report, troopers arrested Michael Connarn, 41, of Chesterfield, on two counts of attempted second degree murder, two counts of reckless conduct, and one count of criminal mischief. Connarn was taken into custody without incident and was held without bail. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Cheshire County Superior Court on Monday, October 22.
