Death investigation on-going near downtown Hanover

HANOVER - Detectives investigating the unattended death of a 60-year-old man who was found deceased Tuesday morning in his garage are asking anyone who might have information about the case to contact the police department.

    Joseph Asch was discovered in the garage of his home on Woodrow Road at approximately 9:30 a.m., according to a press released issued by the Acting Chief of Police, Hanover Captain Mark Bonanza, who noted that the Hanover Fire Department was initially dispatched to the scene for a report of an unconscious individual.

    Woodrow Road is at the back of a small cluster of residential side streets that sit just to the south of the intersection of Lebanon Street and South Park Street near the Hanover Coop.

    The investigation is on-going and police are encouraging anyone who might have information to contact the Hanover Police Department directly at (603) 643-2222.
