Claremont pair charged with heroin possession by Vermont authorities
CAVENDISH, VT - Two Claremont men have been charged with heroin related offenses after emergency services were called out to a suspected overdose on Friday afternoon in Cavendish.
Vermont State Police responded to a report of an unconscious person in a car on Main Street shortly before 7 p.m. on Friday, Trooper Zachary Van Valkenburgh reported.
Police screened the driver of the car, Cory Gale, 28, for impairment and ended up arresting him on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.

Troopers also conducted a consent search of the vehicle and, as a result, also ended up charging both Gale and his passenger, Tyler Haines, 20, with misdemeanor possession of heroin.
Both men were eventually released with citations ordering them to appear for arraignment November 27th on the charges at the Windsor County Superior Courthouse in downtown White River Junction.
