SCORE WORKSHOP: BUSINESS BOOKKEEPING ON THURSDAY OCTOBER 11, 5PM - 8PM.
SCORE is offering one of its most popular and well attended workshops on Business Bookkeeping on Thursday October 11 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the SCORE Office, 20 West Park Street, Suite 316 in Lebanon, NH 03766 (Located in building above Salt Hill Pub and Citizens Bank). Sponsored by MASCOMA BANK, this “Accounting 101” workshop gives you an overview and gets you started with understanding the basic accounting concepts. It will teach you a straightforward way to keep “score” with respect to the financial performance and condition of your business. Prepared by experts in a language the small business person can understand this "hands on" workshop will help you learn the fundamentals of financial statements and how they are prepared. Ann Hargraves and Susan Davidson, both SCORE counselors, will co-present.
Hargraves has presented this session many times over the past several years. She is a retired CPA, and has also earned an MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. She has held senior financial positions in both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations.
Davidson spent 20 years in commercial banking followed by a few years in marketing and then data licensing for a major digital map provider.
The workshop is $30 per session and if you bring a partner: $45, while veterans can attend free. They are designed for both start-up and in-business entrepreneurs. The venue provides networking with presenters, participants and SCORE mentors and in addition to learning new content and practices, the workshops also offer an opportunity to interact with other local small business owners and prospective business owners.
