This week let's get to know our local health and wellness expert Margaret Dembinski. Margaret is an Energy Healer and Spiritual Guide with an authentic lineage and certified by the Modern Mystery School.
Tell us about yourself and why you choose to go into a health field?
I have always been interested in organic food, nutrition, and spirituality, my whole life, since I was a kid. I found yoga at age 18 and fell in love with that. I experienced sexual assault in college and so I really began seeking healing for myself. I took lots of psychology classes and intended to go into Bio-psych and medical school. I had a spiritual experience in the midst of all this and following that I decided to get into holistic healing and recovery and it naturally lead me down this route. What I do now is actually very similar to science and biology that I was learning before, but on a much more multi-dimensional level. I can't wait until this work is more mainstream. I have some colleagues who call themselves "future nurses."
What makes you unique in your field?
I am an energy healer and spiritual Guide with an authentic lineage and certified by the Modern Mystery School. This means I can open doors for you to step more fully into yourself. I have had the most growth and learning in my own life around connection and close, intimate relationships as well, so I can help people with that.
What question do your clients ask most frequently and how do you answer them?
People ask me how did I get into this? I answer what I said above. Also, many people wonder why is it so expensive? I charge for my time, energy, and money spent learning the material which was a lot of all of the above! This work will change your life, and I want to work with people who are up for it.
What do you see as the greatest health risk posed to this generation?
Our individual choice. Will we continue to let others (including our internal wounding and inner child) dictate our lives and our choices for us or will we choose to trust ourselves, heal ourselves, and use our true power to be healthy, whole, and fulfilled?
What’s the best health/fitness/wellness advice you ever received?
"Just Enjoy It!"
Do you have a success story of redeemed health you’d like to share?
I had someone recover from glaucoma after one session with me. The eye doctors were baffled. I have had people switch their diets and move away from drugs and alcohol as well without prompting from me. I cannot promise those results, but I can promise that things will shift for you!
What is your favorite area of wellness to practice?
I love meditation, I would say that is the number one. I also do rituals every day and I work with the elements- earth, water, air, and fire. Moving around outside is my favorite exercise and I definitely like to do that every day.
What are you passionate about, besides your professional life?
I am passionate about natural foods and making our housing more affordable and beneficial to our health. Right now many of us live in often moldy and energetically draining spaces. We spend so much money on housing, our homes could easily become places where we begin to heal, relax, and rejuvenate on deep levels just by walking in the door. It just boggles my mind that we aren't doing this on a wider scale already.
What’s your favorite quote or mantra?
Feel the fear and do it anyway.
What’s one book you recommend everyone should read?
Read a book that calls to you. The Medical Medium by Anthony William actually is something I would recommend as well to everyone for physical healing.
What one suggestion would you make that would have the greatest impact for improved health?
Eat more fruit! Also, realize that you are in control of your own wellness. Before simply following advice, look for someone who you want to be like in terms of health and wellness, or in my field in terms of their amount of wisdom, inner peace, and loving-kindness, and ask them how they got there. Learn what works for you!
Any final piece of wisdom you’d like to share?
You are perfect and you have all the resources you need within you to find your path to health and wellness.
How can people learn more about you and what you offer?
I have a website, www.lovelifeactivate.com, and I hold meditations, open to the public, monthly on the 2nd Monday of the month at the Optimist Center located at 65 Central St, Woodstock, VT 05091. I can also be reached through e-mail me at email@example.com as well.
