Worth Knowing: Ruggles & Hunt - new store in Hanover - is open!

Submitted 3 months ago

Just 12 days ago Worth Knowing reported that a new store was coming to Hanover. (See Ruggles & Hunt post.) Well, Vicki Gohl, the owner of Ruggles & Hunt doesn't waste any time. The store at 15 Main Street is already stocked with inventory and open for business.

Gohl owns two other Ruggles & Hunt stores, one in Walpole, N.H. and another in Brattleboro, VT.  She signed a 4-month lease earlier this month for the new Hanover location to test the waters. If Gohl thinks the Upper Valley is a good match for her wares, she will sign a long-term lease for the same location that will commence on January 15.

Ruggles & Hunt is filled with housewares and men's and women's clothing and art work and children's clothing and fabulous gift cards. There are Halloween decorations and there will soon be an extensive Christmas section. The tone is playful and eclectic. Like the big enamel tray with GATHER splashed across the center or the bright painting of a goat on the wall. Gohl says that the offerings in the new Hanover location will continue to increase as more inventory arrives and the season changes from fall to winter.

Children’s books

Ruggles & Hunt will be open from 12 pm to 5 pm today and from 10 am to 6:00 pm on Monday through Saturday. Information about special grand opening events to follow.
