Worth Knowing: Household Hazardous Waste collection in Lebanon coming October 13
A Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day will be held at Lebanon High School on Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 9 a.m. – Noon. This is a free service for residents of Claremont, Cornish, Enfield, Goshen, Lebanon, Lempster, Lyme, New London, Newbury, Newport, Orford, Piermont, Plainfield, Springfield, Sunapee, Unity, Washington and Wilmot. Anyone with over 25 gallons of household hazardous waste must pre-register.
What to bring: pesticides, herbicides, flea powder, antifreeze, dirty gas and kerosene, adhesives and paving sealers, mercury thermostats and thermometers, household cleaners and polishes, pool chemicals, varnishes, oil based paints, solvents, varnishes and stains, batteries (button, Ni-Cad, lithium, rechargeable), smoke detectors and more.
New Location: Lebanon High School, 195 Hanover Street, Lebanon, NH. Please note the changed venue for this event. The location was changed to better accommodate the large turnout for this event.
Event Details: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. The following flyer provides complete details regarding which items can and cannot be dropped off.
No Unwanted/Unused Medications: Unwanted and unused medications (prescription and over-the-counter) WILL NOT be collected during the event. Please view information about the Pharmaceutical Drop Box and Sharps Disposal Container available 24-hours-a-day in the Lebanon Police Department lobby.
