Lots of people were disappointed last month when the much-anticipated August First Friday Parking Lot Party had to be moved inside because of rain and thunderstorms. Good news - it's First Friday again tomorrow and the Parking Lot Party is actually going to happen in the parking lot!
First Friday always brings a carnival-like atmosphere to the little village that makes up old downtown White River Junction. Art galleries and studios open their doors to the public, there are food and wine tastings, and there is live music just about everywhere. People come from near and far to enjoy this funky little monthly celebration of the arts in White River Junction.
Tomorrow, in addition to all of the usual First Friday delights, there will be loads of activity in the parking lot behind Revolution. There will be a DJ to provide tunes and food to try from various White River eateries. When was the last time you went to a party in a parking lot? Come check it out.
Things usually get started at about 4:00 p.m. and the music will go on late into the evening. The Tricksters, for example, are playing at The Engine Room until midnight. See the music lineup at September First Friday Music.
