Marion Cross School received a grant of nearly $25,000 to enhance security at the elementary school. The school plans "to use the funds to install additional video cameras and to upgrade our access controls for our doors, including our main entrance," said SAU 70 Superintendent Dr. Jay Badams in an email. Installation will occur over the next month or so. Technology is one component of school security. Dr. Badams also noted that "we will also be working to refine our safety processes and procedures while maintaining the Marion Cross School's welcoming and supportive culture."
