Women of Norwich (and neighbors): You could be here!
Margo Doscher broke the news this week on the list: the Norwich Women's Club will resume its regular coffee hour gathering at the Norwich Inn on Monday the 27th from 10 to 11.
"We look forward to seeing everyone, and offer coffee, tea and treats to all," she wrote. "Anyone can come, from any town, and be welcomed by a great community of women. No obligation except chatting, sipping, and tasting!"
It sounded great, even though I'm not a woman, so I emailed Margo to ask more.
"The women's coffee hour in the living room of the Norwich Inn (about once a month) has been going on for quite a few years," she answered. "The purpose is to let women of the Upper Valley meet each other and have fun doing it."
Usually 15 to 20 women stop by from a variety of towns: Thetford, Lyme, Hanover, White River Junction. "All from any town are welcome," she said.
The inn provides coffee and tea, and Margo or Roney Hoffman from Thetford makes the treats.
"No one has to be a member of the women's club in order to enjoy the hour," she said. "Just a chance to be with other women and share lives."
