Farm-Table, With Very Little "To" In Between

This is a giddy time of year not just for fans of local produce. Farmers are pretty celebratory, too.

For the fourth time in as many years, Crossmolina Farm in West Corinth, VT, will be throwing its "Dinner on the Farm" shindig. It'll be this Saturday, August 25, starting at 6 pm.

The menu is enough to make you sit up and take notice. It starts with all-you-can-eat wood-fired pizza. Then there'll be 10 salads made from the farm's ingredients. These include a cilantro-peanut, tomatoes and cucumbers with peach dressing, and a creamy collard-and-cabbage slaw.

Dessert? Did you actually need to ask? There'll be a buffet laid out with carrot cake, zucchini cake, blueberry-peach pandowdy, and blueberry corn crisp. 

Music: live from Corinth's own bluegrass, swing, gypsy, just-good-times Turnip Truck.

Beer: Tunbridge's Brocklebank (this'll cost a bit extra).

Tickets are $25 for adults, $12 for kids 12 and under. Kids 4 and younger eat free. No charge for running around happily, bopping to the music, or admiring the setting.
